• The basics of product knowledge – includes learning to mix products to make colors and textures so you can create varied finishes and effects without having to stock every single product ever made in your kit. As well as how to deal with many skin tones by knowing what colors to mix together to match the foundation to your clients skin.
• Skin care – what is necessary, what is not and why it is important to the final look of your work
• Brush technique and control (learn how to achieve a professional and flawless finish every time using the correct tool for the job)
• Fundamental makeup applications as the basis for many other makeup designs
• Corrective techniques
• Application of false lashes
• Bridal makeup
• Photographic makeup
• Natural and corporate makeup
• Mature woman makeup
• Photo shoot to gain experience in this arena of the makeup world and also to begin building your portfolio (* not included in course fees - $250 which comprises first hand experience with award winning photographer John Lim plus 6 printed photos and CD)

• Advanced makeup techniques for bridal industry
• How to deal with particular facial features (e.g. droopy eyes, small thin lips, chubby face etc) to create a beautiful result that will cause your client to become a devoted customer for every function she attends
• Period makeup (1920’s through to 1960’s) – learn the makeup designs from each decade that have formed the basis for makeups that you see on the likes of Dita Von Teese, Christina Aguilera, Brittany Spears etc
• High fashion and editorial makeup
• Makeup for the catwalk
• Starting and running your own business
• Progressive use of products for different effects, textures and finishes
• Application and use of false lashes in different styles, lengths, thickness and types
• Asian makeup
• Eyebrow shaping
